      Hi Patrick,

You’re welcome. 🙂 I’ve written everything that is needed to know about filing for the petition, visa stage, and adjustment of status after marriage. It’s on the main http://www.mrspresson.com site, under “Immigration”.

The only advice I can give you is take it one step at a time. Deal with the paperwork of one process first, then worry about the next when you’ve already submitted the first batch. It can be really overwhelming, but like I said, all the information you need to know is already in the blog and this knowledgebase. That way, you already know what to expect on the next stages.

A lot of readers have made it through just by reading the articles on my blog and they have had a relatively smooth process. It really depends on the genuineness of your relationship and the completeness of the requirements. Processing times vary because that depends on the workload of USCIS Centers and US Embassies. I have a somewhat average timeline found here: http://mrsprsn.us/Timeline

      Good luck!
