Is a One-day K1 Visa Medical Exam possible at SLEC?

Yes, a One-day K1 Visa Medical Exam is possible at SLEC but there are several factors (but no guarantees, though!):

1. If your X-ray was released and checked (read) by a designated SLEC Physician on the same day. This means you might want to have your X-ray as your next step after the Physical Examination stage. (Please read: K1 Visa Medical Exam Walkthrough at SLEC)
2. If your Medical Results are clear, meaning you don’t have to  undergo the Sputum Smear Examination (for TB)
3. If you are not required to undergo any other additional exams (ie. Psych Test) over the next few days.
4. If you’re asked to go back to SLEC during the same day to have your vaccines done.

If you did the medical exam in one (1) day, congratulations!

As of the 29th of December, 2014, the procedures for the Medical Exam at SLEC was revised. Medical results are now handed back to the K1 Visa Applicant and would require at least one (1) day of processing for results after the day of the Medical. That means, it is no longer possible to do a one-day medical exam. It is now at a 2-day minimum.
