I’ve submitted complete documents during my interview and was told that I was approved. Until now, it’s on Administrative Processing. When will my K1 Visa be issued? Posted on August 28, 2014 by Mrs. Presson No one knows the answer to that question. It all depends on the following: The completeness of your paperwork (This still depends on the Consular Officer’s discretion.) The amount of cases they have at your local U.S. Embassy The decision by the Consular Officer reviewing your case Any unforeseen circumstances like the weather, system failures, etc. What’s the best thing to do? Sit tight. Wait patiently for updates. Monitor your status on CEAC. Follow-up your case by calling the local U.S. Embassy Quit whining / complaining. Do you honestly think it will magically make your visa appear at your doorstep? Related Posts:I’ve complied with the 221G Request for Additional… No one knows the answer to that question. john says: wow..you paint a grim picture here. Last 3 years of tax returns??? First time i’ve heard THAT. But of course, i’m not suprized. I didnt hear about this CFO class until after we booked the interview. She is taking her interview as i write this. I did not send her with the appointment confirmation email. It wasn’t on the list at the Manila embassy site. Sigh! Looks like she’ll be doing lots more flying across country (she lives in Gensan). So frickin’ tired of this whole ordeal.
Mrs. Presson says: 3 years worth of Tax Returns – That info is not “advertised” by the Manila US Embassy. There are some things that people need to understand about the K1 Visa, it technically is a non-immigrant visa BUT it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the applicant’s immigrant intent. 3 years worth of tax returns are required for immigrant visas. During our time with the process in 2013, the latest tax return is required BUT the Consular Officer, at any time, can request other document they wish to look at. The department that deals with K1 Visas is the Immigrant Visa Unit. The requirements seem arbitrary, so it’s always better to be prepared than be stuck with a 221G/further delays in the process.
