These mistakes are usually corrected through the US Embassy’s Immigrant Visa Unit. Look for the IV Unit’s contact number under the local US Embassy’s official website. In some cases, people are advised to submit a new DS-160. You may do so but make sure you bring the old DS-160 confirmation (the one that has the mistake on it) and the new DS-160 confirmation (with the corrected item) to your Visa Interview.
